Demand to run assets far beyond their design life has significantly increased, as replacing assets is not a cost-effective solution. To extend an asset life, operators must prove that the asset is fit and safe to operate, and this is often a hurdle. Once assets run beyond their design life, new failures and asset integrity problems occur, which might not have occurred earlier. Many such cases cause unexpected cease in production and result in costly emergency repairs to fix the asset.

Therefore, assessment of an asset life is crucial to identify the investment required to restore asset integrity and sustain current operating performance. This will allow the operating plants to meet future production requirements for a longer term and save on finances as well as efforts.

To optimize the asset life and eventually achieve cost optimization, most of the operating plants across various industries require a solution through which users can effectively manage and analyze the asset data, assess the condition of asset and recommend necessary actions to maintain the asset integrity.

Assess 360 is a Genix application which enables analysis of basic and historical asset data and current asset condition to determine the remaining useful life of the asset, life cycle cost, and cost to benefit ratio. Assess 360 application provides an independent detailed assessment of asset life and the opportunities for improvement.
