Template Definition

Asset Template is a reusable, scalable and systematic organization of various asset attributes/parameters into a specific asset class. A template is a generic definition which is applicable to all the equipment of that class. This section defines the templates and specifies the Asset Types for which the template is applicable. Following are the type of templates used in the application:

• Generic Asset Template

• Custom Asset Template

• System Template

Appropriate access and permissions are needed to Create, Edit and Copy Asset/ System Templates. For more details on Roles and access, see Permissions section of Platform Administration Guide.
