Tabs

Tabs functionality helps create tabbed visualization, which is also known as a Paginated dashboard. The dashboard can be configured to have required number of tabs, where each tab becomes a workspace to build dashboards.

It is also possible to establish dashboard to dashboard communication (Link Functionality) via attributes, without enabling underlay and overlay options.

You can perform the following operations in the Tabs section:

  • Show border at bottom of tabs: Enable this checkbox to display a border at the bottom of the tabs.

  • Tabs alignment: Select the alignment for your tabs on the dashboard:

    • Right: Aligns the tabs on the right side of the dashboard.

    • Left: Aligns the tabs on the left side of the dashboard.

When you select Left or Right, the Title field becomes applicable. Enter the title to display a heading at the top of the vertically aligned tabs.

    • Top: Aligns the tabs at the top of the dashboard.

When you select Top, the Horizontal Tab alignment field becomes applicable. Use the dropdown to select how tabs are aligned within the top area:

      • Left: Aligns the tabs to the top-left side.

      • Right: Aligns the tabs to the top-right side.

  • Background color: Select the required color or type the required color code for the background of the tab to be displayed in the dashboard.

    Ex: Red, Blue, #FF0, RGBA(27,133,235,1)

  • Add tab: Click the icon to add a new tab. When you do so, the following sub-options appear:

    • Name: Enter the name of the tab.

    • ABB: Select to enable inbuilt icon selection for the tab.

    • URL: Enter a URL to specify a custom icon for the tab.

    • Layout type: Select either Grid or Docked to define the tab layout.

    • Background: Choose between Default or White for the tab’s layout background color.

    • To add more tabs, click icon again.

  • Click Apply.
